Abstract: This paper presents two different terrain modeling techniques to assess sedimentation employing single-beam bathymetric data, using as a case of study a Peruvian reservoir located in the Andes Mountains. Both methods used the same input data. The first method employed was the traditional method and the second was Insertion of Mesh Points (IMP). In agreement with previous findings, the IMP method produced lower sedimentation values but proved to be satisfactory for the case.
