Abstract: The work presents a theoretical and experimental analysis of adverse slope hydraulic jump in rectangular prismatic channels. Hydraulic jump on reversed slope is characterized by a minor sequent depth ratio in comparison with the classical hydraulic jump on horizontal channel. The theoretical analysis is based on the momentum equation. Experimental data have been collected in two series carried out with partially different equipment and are added to the available ones in order to look for a general relationship for the sequent depth ratio as a function of the upstream Froude number and the adverse slope value.
