Abstract: Large-scale floating sluice is a new style hydraulic control structure. It has double function of landscaping and ecotype. Process of floating sluice operation include rotation positioning, water filling subsidence, flat gate opening and closing, drainage buoying. It is necessary to determine the hydrodynamic measurement factor by technical hydraulic model experiment for the complicated operation condition. According to similitude requirement of hydrodynamics measurement factor, the similitude rule and experimental method was analyzed in detail followed in hydraulic model experiment and the double model method was put forward. Based on engineering safety and diminishing error, it was indicated that the floating hydraulic model should be designed adhered to gravity similitude; model flow must be kept in turbulence state, and kept similitude of mass distribution between model and prototype. The scale of length, elastic modulus and density can be selected independently under linear strain approximate 1 in structure model. The control measurement device of model floating sluice was designed and the sensor arrangement mode was introduced also.
