Abstract: This paper presented the three-dimensional calculations of river flow and bed load transport with a free surface and rough bed obtained with the Reynolds averaged N-S turbulence equations. The calculation results are tested with the field observation and experiment measurement carried out by Bundesanstalt fur Wasserbau (BAW), Berlin. Generally, the calculation results agree well with the experiment and show that the turbulence model with bed load transport developed in this paper can be used for the natural river predictions.
