Abstract: The hydraulic module is an important component of the operational simulation and optimization models of the Sihu Decision Support System. The module was developed with application of a four-step solution method in solving the system of numerical equations of unsteady flows of the canal network in the Sihu polder area. In this hydraulic module, the number of equations and unknowns of the final equation system, which needs to be solved simultaneously, equals to the number of intersections of the canal network. In the application of the four-step solution method to this canal network, the method was implemented to consider the specific geometric and boundary conditions of the network.
