Abstract: Sensitivity analysis of irrigation structures is regarded as a means to determine the flow behavior within irrigation canals. The successful use of this approach for describing flow conditions in different countries has been reported in the literature. However, current knowledge of sensitivity analysis is limited to some specific control structures. Baffle distributors have widely been accepted as appropriate hardware devices for flow regulation and delivery. In this paper, different hydraulic sensitivity relationships for baffle distributors were examined and the most suitable one is proposed.
