Abstract: The unit loads of NPS were estimated by measuring the pollutants and discharge, and by simulation with the SWMM model based on the assumption that most NPS loads are concentrated during initial rainfall in the Jungrang Stream basin. The results were compared with previous studies in other urban basins in Korea and overseas. The NPS unit loads were also investigated in terms of the effects of rainfall depth and intensity, precedent dry periods, etc. The important reflecting factors which show strong linear correlation with the NPS loads during initial rainfall were found to be the cumulative rainfall, and the effective rainfall.
