Abstract: The similarity criterions and test methods are expounded for subatmospheric hydraulic model test in vacuum tank. With model test on the bottom outlet of flood-discharge tunnel in Jilintai hydroelectric project, based on acoustic method, the cavitations noise of gate groove in bottom outlet is measured. The cavitation state and the reason that forms are analyzed. Research shows that under maintenance gate opened partially, flow incipient cavitations number is greater than that under gate opened fully. That must arouse pay attention in project operation.
