Socio Economic and Technological Aspects in Adoption of Micro-Irrigation Technology by the Farmers in Maharashtra (INDIA)

Abstract: The study revealed that farmers adopting MIS should be predisposed with certain aspects such as scientific orientation, risk preference, economic motivation and favorable attitude towards MIS and the high socio-economic status which would provide them a favorable socio-psychological milieu, for the high level of adoption of micro-irrigation systems. Adoption of micro-irrigation system is certainly leave behind its own impact in the form of socio-economic and technological consequences than those farmers still irrigating with conventional methods.
