Abstract: In the Xinjiang Plain area, sediment particles are very fine in the river flows. Due to the gentle longitudinal slope of the fine-silt river channel, the low erosion resistance of the river chaneel and the complicated boundary conditions of the river flow, construction of water diversion works across river can impose great influences on the characteristics of the fluvial processes of the river channel itself, and the river flow is comparatively sensitive to the change of boundary conditions.
