Abstract: Qinzhou power station locates in the Qinzhou Bay. The station adopts a constant-current system and uses the Qinzhou Bay’s seawater as a cooling water source. In order to guarantee the station safety in operation, we analyze sea conditions of terrain, wind regime, wave, and sediment load. Aiming at the large sea area in the Qinzhou Bay and the partial sea area nearby the station, we utilize two-dimension sediment mathematical model to calculate sediment concentration, stability of the seabed, and the scour-and–fill. We also study the influence of the project on the seabed and the sediment concentration, around the station inlet and outlet. Based on these calculation, necessary information for site selection can be provided.
