Abstract: This laboratory study focused on the flow structure of open channel flow with partly submerged vegetation. Experiments were conducted in a straight flume with a rectangular cross section and channel configurations with a low width-to-depth aspect ratio. Vertical distributions of the longitudinal velocity were measured at different locations. Experimental data sets show the transition of vertical distributions of velocity from the main channel part to the vegetated part.
