Abstract: The numerical simulation model for riparian vegetation dynamics is proposed. The model consists of 4 sub models: recruitment, growth and expansion, and destruction sub models. The model performance is tested and validated by comparison of actual vegetation dynamics observed in a sand bed river in Japan.
