Abstract: Random Forest, a machine learning algorithm, is used to construct a surrogate model of groundwater flow for the Requena-Utiel and Cabrillas-Malacara aquifers, in Spain. The objective is to provide an innovative, quick, open, and minimally accurate tool that allows managers and stakeholders to assess the impact of groundwater use and climate changes in the aquifers. The surrogate model has proven its versatility, ease of deployment, and high performance with very accurate approximations. In addition, it is a fast and easy-to-use method.
