Abstract: Velocity profiles were obtained experimentally for three types of simulated vegetation elements arranged at a sparse parallel pattern. Above the top of the canopy the data are found to follow closely a logarithmic law, the constants of which depend on the type of element and the proximity to the elements alignment.
