Abstract: A phenomenological multiaxial constitutive law will be introduced. Using firstorder differential equations internal variables can be developed representing physical effects, Thereby, the equations are implemented in a frame to fulfil a thermodynamical consistence. Stress and temperature are the variables of state in this time-dependent formulation. Comparisons between calculations and experimental results (MELLOR/COLE, 1982,1983) were made to determine the unknown functions and to verify the equations. Finally FE-computations show a first applicability of this constitutive law.
