Abstract: Due to the influence of geological conditions and environment, landslide movements, debris flow disasters and other environmental changes lead to the formation of dammed dams in the lake, and landslide dams are the main types of dams. According to statistics, from 34 countries and can be accurately located there are 779 dams, the geographical location of the dam and environmental conditions are different, will produce different types of dams, dams can be divided into landslide dams, collapse dams, debris flow dams, volcanic eruption dams and moraine dams, dam failures can be divided into single dam failures, cascade dams, etc., once the dam failure, it will cause great natural harm downstream, and the losses caused by it are too large to estimate.
