Abstract: Presented hereinwith are the generalized results of observa-tions in nature regarding fluvial turbulence in river sections Presented hereinwith are the generalized results of observa-tions in nature regarding fluvial turbulence in river sections featuring diverse bed macroroughness (flat bed, sand dunes, shin-gle-cobbiestone bed, aquatics). Empirical dependencies are 'derived for the rate of turbulence and power dissipation. Consideration is given to fluvial turbulence scailes and a model of velocity fluctu-ations spectrum has been proposed. Specific properties of fluvial turbulence have been revealed.
