Abstract: Full geometrical and topographic information about the riverbed is necessary for characterizing river morphological structures and their dynamics. With new remote sensing and post-processing methods, this information becomes available. The study addresses high-resolution LiDAR bathymetry data and the associated data processing steps to show the potentials in their application for an alpine study area.
