Abstract: In this study we developed and tested a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model within a flexible modeling framework for different target platforms (clusters of GPUs or multi-core CPUs). Thanks to the gained computational speedup, we show as example that the proposed solution enables the use of Monte-Carlo methods for flood risk analysis.
