Abstract: River water quality is degrading by receiving waste water from anthropogenic sources mainly industries, agriculture and domestic households. In this study, the pollutant sources were implemented in the river modeling software Info WorksRS, to investigate their impact on the water quality along the Molse Nete river. Advection and dispersion, and the most important physico-chemical water quality transformation processes covering the oxygen, organic matter and nitrogen cycle were considered. The model performance was evaluated based on river water quality samples available at several locations along the river during a number of years. After model verification, the model simulation results were statistically analyzed and comparison was made with immission standards.
