Abstract: This paper puts forward the concept of silt removal in a large reservoir, where due to technical or non-technical reasons it is now not possible to have low level silt discharging devices. A mechanized method by using large capacity submersible agitator type pumps along with submersible excavator with necessary civil structure like Silt& Water Slurry conductor etc. is recommended.
