Abstract: Abstract: Compared with molecular diffusion and turbulent diffusion, dispersion has a more important influence on the transport of pollutants due to the larger magnitude. In natural rivers, the dispersion is mainly caused by the non-uniform distribution of longitudinal velocity in the cross-section. We assume that the physical quantities are invariant in the vertical direction and simplify the three-dimensional problem to the horizontal two-dimensional problem.
