Abstract: Reservoir dams make important contributions to socio-economic development,while dams are subject to over-frequency floods,strong earthquakes,and other damages that may induce dam collapse,and there is a risk of collapse.HEC-RAS was used to establish a hydrodynamic mathematical model from the reservoir area of Lingjintan Hydropower Station to the dam site of Taoyuan Hydropower Station,analyze the possible causes of dam failure at Lingjintan Hydropower Station,formulate three dam collapse modes,and simulate and analyze the dam collapse flood. According to the dam collapse flood calculation results can be targeted to put forward disaster prevention and mitigation measures,can be more effective guidance to the power station and downstream towns in the pre-flood to do the corresponding response program,to ensure that the emergency scheduling based on evidence.
