Abstract: Based on the Vietnamese government first national master plan on water resources for the period 2021-2030 in December 2022, and the freshly released Five-Year Plan of Action on the LMC(2023-2027), this article aims to delineate a cooperative framework for the prospective collaboration between China and Vietnam in the area of water resources. By integrating the distinctive features of both strategic documents, this paper proposes a collaborative pattern designed to foster and enhance China-Vietnam water resources cooperation, ensuring sustainable development and mutual benefits for both nations.
