Abstract: With the rapid development of national water engineering construction, the research and manufacturing of intelligent protective materials spraying system for tunnels in engineering project has gradually become a hot topic as the precise non-contact thickness measurement of coating is still the technical bottleneck of the industry. Through intelligent navigation technology, two-way driving platform, high-altitude spraying system, non-contact thickness measurement of coating, with the utilization of Internet of Things technology to monitor, collect and analyze hydro-engineering information, and finally realize intelligent management, visual display and other innovative advanced functions. Compared with the traditional spraying technology which using artificial scaffolding construction which was high time-consuming, high risk, and with more difficulties in securing construction quality, the intelligent protective materials spraying system for ultra-long tunnel is developed to realize the intelligent spraying operation of ultra-long tunnel, which solves the technical bottleneck and fills the gaps in the industry. The key technology can improve spraying quality and efficiency, ensure spraying thickness, reduce construction risks, achieve controllable spraying at accurate trajectory, and real-time monitoring of spraying parameters and construction data, which benefit for supervising and managing construction process. The introduction of intelligent spraying system made it possible to guide the equipment travels automatically in the tunnel, self-adapt to the fluctuations of the tunnel wall, and reach the spraying efficiency of 300 m2 per hour with high reliability, and thus, securing high-quality construction and safe operation of the project.
