Abstract: Two-dimensional model solving a complete advection-dispersion equation was constructed using a finite element method. This model was tested by the comparison with the results from the mixing experiments in the laboratory S-curved channel, and also the results by RMA4 run at the same condition were compared with newly proposed models. These results show the simulation by the proposed numerical model agrees better with the experimental data obtained in the meandering channel.
