Abstract: This study focused on investigating the response of Myriophyllum spicatum to the low to high light intensities (300, 200, 100, 50, and 30 μmol m-2 s-1). The experimental treatments managed within a controlled laboratory environment. The high and low light intensities significantly (P< 0.05) influenced both POD activity and H2O2 content whereas, 100umol m s identified as a favorable condition. Hence, it can be hypothesized that extreme light intensities caused the increased cellular H2O2 content and elevated scavenging enzyme activity in Myriophyllum spicatum plants.
